Dear Parents and Children,

I hope you are looking forward to an exciting year! In Owls your child will continue to develop their skills and knowledge in a fun and creative way through ARCS Curriculum. You can find out what we’ll be learning, and when, by looking at the Curriculum section of the website.

Our class routine is as follows:

Library Books 

Library sessions will take place every Friday. Children will have the opportunity to borrow books from the school library. Please return library books on Friday morning, so they can be swapped.

Reading Books 

Please keep reading books in your child's bag and bring to school every day, so they spend quality time reading with an adult.

P.E. Lessons 

Our P.E. lessons take place on Wednesdays. Children should come into school in their P.E. kit, which should be red or white t-shirt and red or black shorts. Hoodies/Jumpers can be worn during cooler weather if we head outside.

Homework 

Every Friday, children will be given 10 spellings to learn, ready for next Friday’s spelling test. We’ll also alternate between English and Maths homework each week, to consolidate the learning that’s taken place in class that week. Our homework and spellings are adapted so every child is suitably challenged. Homework and spellings will be assigned on Seesaw, so please keep checking regularly.

Finally, please ensure children’s names are written inside their jumpers; our lost property box fills up rapidly if we can’t reunite children with their missing jumpers or cardigans!
