Reading

Buying books can become an expensive hobby! There are cheaper options available, for example from charity shops, and of course they are FREE to borrow from libraries.

If you are unable to visit the library, you can join and receive books online using this link:

Teachers have been delighted with how much reading children have been doing whilst at home, and the many posts we've received with pupils reading aloud and from their favourite reading spot.  It is important to read at least 3 times a week and can be from a variety of books.  Here is a fantastic online resource to support with reading whilst at home - https://www.thereaderteacher.com/
Please keep reading as often as you can from a range of books. Take a look at the following website which includes lots of free reading materials from a range of authors - lovereading4kids
You can find great advice and guidance from the Open University on how to promote a love of reading at home during school closure here
