Homework is a vital aspect of learning and school life. As well as consolidating the learning that takes place in class, it also keeps parents and carers aware of what their child might be learning in school.

Homework will usually consist of spellings, times-tables and either English, Maths or a project to complete.

Children in each year are required to learn the statutory spellings below.

We've created a booklet for tips on learning at home.

  • Preparing for a learning journey
  • Creating a learning space
  • Positive thinking
  • Improving your sense of well being
  • Understanding different types of questions
  • Using ICT
  • How to undertake successful research

A booklet has been produced to explain the Speaking and Listening Talk Cards that we send home every term.
