Home Learning during School Closure

Welcome to Evelyn's 'Home Learning Hub' page which is at the heart of our home learning provision.

This central resource enables you to connect to all the different curriculum subjects, activities and useful websites.  We will update this page regularly, providing updates on activities posted on Seesaw for KS1 and KS2 children, Tapestry for Foundation Stage children and share examples of current news and exciting events.

A Message from the Chair of Governors

Dear Parents and Carers,

On behalf of the Governing Body I would like to thank you all for your continued support to children and staff throughout this current pandemic and unprecedented circumstances.

We recognise it is a difficult time for all concerned and home schooling can’t be easy at the best of times. We are really delighted to hear all about the good work that is going on from Nursery to Year 6 to make sure your child’s education continues. From the comments we are hearing, everyone seems to be making the best of it and maybe learning new skills along the way!

The Governing Body continues to meet, albeit virtually!, and are involved in the decisions that need to be made now, and for the future of our school.

The spirit and unique nature of Evelyn continues - despite not being able to come together.

I’m sure you will agree that we have an exceptional school led by a superb Headteacher and staff who really care, together with a fantastic group of parents/carers; and as Governors it’s a privilege to be involved, albeit in a small way.

Stay safe!

Mrs Arnold's Recycling Challenge

In response to my suggestion of making a model out of recyclable items, here are some creative examples of how children responded:

Thank You from our KS1 children

Some of our wonderful children in KS1, together with their parents, have come together to create a moving tribute to the staff at Evelyn in recognition of the love and care that we give their children. Enjoy!
