Governors

"I am proud to have been associated with Evelyn CP school for over 30 years, both as a parent and now as Chair of the Governing Body.

The school goes from strength to strength and it never surprises me to see how many old pupils from the community choose our school for their sons and daughters.

My role as Chair is to ensure the Governing body works as an effective dynamic team in partnership with the school, to set the Vision for the school by providing a safe environment which enables all pupils to reach their potential. In fact a truly “magical” place to learn.

Our innovative curriculum is truly unique and our Student Exit Profile helps pupils to leave our school as all rounded individuals socially, morally, economically, emotionally, spiritually and culturally

Evelyn CP never rests on its laurels and continues to find new ways to make life in school stimulating and challenging for all pupils and make them feel valued

I do hope this website provides you with all the information you need

Please visit our school to find out for yourself how wonderful an “Evelyn experience” and as all Evelyn children are encouraged to do “Reach for the Stars”!!"

Mrs Lesley Campbell-Hunter, Chair of the Governing Body

Governors are involved in all decision making – from very small matters to very important ones.

All decisions directly affect not just the smooth running of the school, but also its development. New initiatives are often discussed and planned for by governors. In this way, the governing body is crucial to Evelyn being the dynamic organisation which it has become.

Being a governor at Evelyn CP School:

  • means making decisions which benefit children, parents and staff
  • is an experience which is enriching, rewarding, fulfilling and educating
  • involves teamwork

Below you can find a list of the current governing body, their roles, terms and attendance, along with the class links and meeting dates.
