Below is an inspiring booklet of activities around the subject of the environment and outdoor learning. It has been put together by Mr Gordon Lavender , a gentleman who comes into our school to teach our staff how to willow weave, to enable them to pass that skill onto the children.
Gordon made the wonderful animal willow sculptures for us, which are in our Safari area near Y5. He is part of The Knowsley Green Space Ranger Team and has provided this ‘Bringing the Outdoors Indoors Booklet’ to help support families through this challenging time, by encouraging everyone to explore your outdoor spaces and engage with Nature. The team believe how important it is for everyone to try to get outdoors.
Being safe and observing the governments Social Distancing Measures is a priority for all the activities in the booklet, but he feels sure you will find the activities fun and interesting. They have tried to provide all the details you will need to ‘ just get going!’
Thursday 21st May is Outdoor Classroom Day and if we were in school we would be taking part in lots of different activities.
So instead, here are some lovely activities you can take part in either in your garden or on your daily walk.
Have fun and post some pictures on Seesaw if you used any ideas or played any games or were creative in different ways.
This week's art task by Mrs Brophy, our Art subject leader, is to make your own Sketch Book.
This can be used for any Creative Tasks set by your Teacher or it can be used to show your own drawings that you do in your spare time.
Take a look at the tasks below!
