Student Exit Profile

We have a Student Exit Profile in place in school, which is a portrait of how we want every child to achieve in terms of Academic, Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural and Emotional development.

We have exemplified these with practical illustrations, as follows –

 

Emotional

  • Be able to swim at least 25 metres
  • Have taken part in at least 1 risk taking activity
  • Read for leisure
  • Have a hobby
  • Have watched something being born
  • Have played a role in a production
  • Be able to deal with losing and disappointment
  • Represent the school in a competition

 

Cultural

  • Be able to sew on a button
  • Be able to play a tune on an instrument
  • Have visited at least 4 cultural venues
  • Have listened to an orchestra or part of an orchestra
  • Have spoken on the radio
  • Have had experience of working with children from different faiths, cultures and social backgrounds
  • Have visited at least 2 different places of worship
  • Have won a global learner award
  • Be able to hold a simple conversation in French
  • Have visited, or heard speak, at least 2 different peoples’ business or careers
  • To recognise paintings by at least 3 different artists
  • To recognise music by at least 3 different composers

 

Social

  • Be able to play at last 4 board games properly
  • Have at least 3 friends
  • Be able to cook and prepare at least 3 healthy meals
  • Have experienced a residential trip
  • Have represented the school as an ambassador
  • Have resolved at least one friendship problem
  • Have taken part in at least 2 local community based projects
  • Understand social etiquette, eg. table manners

 

Moral

  • Know where the dangers are in my locality and how to respond to them
  • Have taken an active role in at least 3 charitable events
  • Have been a ‘lead learner’
  • Have written a business plan
  • Have completed at least 3 lifelong learning projects
  • Use manners automatically
  • Have won the merit badge at least 4 times

 

Spiritual

  • Have grown something from seed to harvest
  • Am able to reflect
  • Have written a prayer or poem
  • Be able to visualise a ‘happy place’
  • Know how to feel calm and relaxed
  • Understand how to promote happiness

 

We hope you will agree that if every child leaves our school with these achievements we will be sending excellent ‘citizens’ to secondary school, fully ready for their journey through to further education and life in general.
